It’s time for a vacation or a weekend getaway and your at the cottage or your cabin at the lake. You have unpacked all your goods and air out the cottage, now it;s time to cook a good meal. Fire up the BBQ for some good BBQ Cooking Fun.
We have collect recipes from the internet with the idea in mind to;
- Follow the recipe and see if you like the results
- Make changes to recipe relating to using a BBQ as the main source of heat
- Our Goal is to have the end result >> BBQ recipe for cooking at the cottage

BBQ Recipes
- BBQ Chicken Wrap Caramelized Onions – A delicious chicken wrap with homemade barbecue sauce and caramelized onions
- Chicken Camembert Bacon Rolls – camembert cheese is wrapped in chicken breast and wrapped in bacon
- Potato Bites – cooking bite size potatoes with sour cream and toppings for finger food
- BBQing Spare Ribs and Sweet Corn – Spare Ribs recipe, marinated in apple juice, coated with a dry rub and covered with some home-made barbecue sauce and then served with sweet corn and grilled chicken legs.
- Buttermilk Pancakes – From regular pancakes to buttermilk pancakes with fruit toppings of your choice
- Crispy Apple Crisp – Apple crisp a great family dessert, the type of old time dish passed along for generations
- BBQ Spare Rib Sandwiches – Finger licking tender pork off of ribs cooked in BBQ sauce served on a kaiser with your favourite topping.

Had a great time on Lake Kashagawigamog when our kids were tiny. Now, they have their own families and we would love to return.
Are there any cottage type resorts in the area that provide meals, loan out row boats for fishing, and have tennis, etc. Don’t think my wife can get excited about cooking any more. Thanks.

Lake Kashagawigamog is a great lake which is about 1/2 hour from us here at Halls Lake.
Our neighbour has a 4 bedroom luxury cottage to rent there but you would have to cook your own meals.
SandHaven Cottage
Let me know how many people there will be and we’ll make some suggestions for you. Tennis is a challenge so I’ll need a few days to check this out.
